The Insight Behind the Technology

The insight was simple and powerful: confidence is a performance variable. An athlete thinking about how she looks is not an athlete performing at full capacity. I worked to ensure that insight translated from the innovation brief all the way through to how the product was positioned and landed in market.

My First Project at Nike

I guided the team through execution and on-time delivery across multiple categories, franchises, and silhouettes. From briefing the evolutionary work through after-action reviews and cross-team adoption, I held the through line that ensured the technology landed consistently rather than differently in every category.

Making It Work Across Every Context

The technology had to perform across dance, training, and everyday movement. I worked with category teams to ensure the product held up aesthetically and functionally across all of them, building adoption without asking each team to solve the same problem independently.

Invisibility Is the Hardest Thing to Achieve

A sweat management technology that changed the look or feel of a garment would not get adopted regardless of how well it performed. I worked with design to ensure the material integration was seamless. That invisibility is always the hardest thing to achieve and always the most important.

What Organizational Readiness Actually Means

The technology was ready. The harder work was building the conditions for adoption at scale across categories and teams that each had their own way of working. Getting a large organization to move together toward something new, without mandating it, is a skill I have been developing since this project.
